Ashley Monroe

Ashley Monroe is an American country music songwriter and singer. Following the release of two singles and an album titled Satisfied in 2007 she formed an ensemble called Pistol Annies with Angaleena Presley and Miranda Lambert and released her 2nd album called Like a Rose in 2013. Ashley Monroe singing with Blake Shelton in the year 2015. The singer-songwriter released The Blade, an album that brought her fame. Ashley Monroe is the Assistant Village Manager of the village of Riverside Illinois and has over fifteen years of experience as a public servant, which includes more than five years of being the Deputy City Manager for Iowa City. She currently serves as an Assistant Village manager. She is responsible for a range of duties that include overseeing the Community Development and Building Department as well as overseeing grant applications and other special projects. Ashley assists in assisting with the village's daily services, while working with the local elected officials. Ashley's prior roles have included the budgeting and planning of government communications, staff management and collective negotiation. Ashley is also passionate regarding climate action. Through her involvement in national organizations and work in communities with diverse populations, Ashley has gained insight into the complexities differences and similarities when it comes to the ways public agencies operate.
